Huntsman will host a series of tournaments for men’s and women’s golf and equestrian events during his season of “Duel with the Masters,” the network announced on Wednesday.
The “Duesseldorf Masters” will be broadcast on ESPN3 and will begin in August, with Huntsman and his fellow competitors competing in an event that pits golfers against one another in a mock tournament.
The “DuerstellungsSport” tournament will feature players competing in the men’s category, as well as the men and women in the women’s and mixed division.
Huntsman is the first major winner to compete in the event since Jason Day in 2014, when he won the women, men and mixed categories in the U.S. Open.
“We are thrilled to announce that Jason will be our first ever winner in this event, and we are excited to see how this series of events will unfold,” Huntsman said in a statement.
“It is exciting to be a part of such a unique event that will take place at the ESPN3 Studios, one of the world’s most recognized venues for sports, entertainment and social interaction.
We look forward to continuing to work with Jason, the world of golf and his family, as they continue to forge their legacy on the course.”
Huntsman, whose career includes a tour of China, has played in more than 200 major tournaments, including two major championship tournaments.
The golfer and wife of former President George W. Bush is one of only five players to win both the U and PGA Championships in the same season, while also winning the UGA Championship and the PGA Championship in 2013.
