Sony has announced that its PlayStation 5 event will be held today at CES in Las Vegas.
The PlayStation 5 is expected to be unveiled during Sony’s annual CES press conference on January 27th, 2019.
“We are looking forward to sharing our vision of creating the best gaming experiences, including for gamers who are part of the emerging digital entertainment ecosystem,” Sony’s president and CEO Kaz Hirai said in a statement.
In the meantime, Sony is looking to launch a new console this year.
Last week, Sony confirmed that it would launch a PlayStation 4 at CES 2019.
The next-generation console will have an 11.6-inch screen with 4K resolution, a quad-core processor, and 4GB of RAM.
The new console will also have a 1080p display.
